'It's A Wonderful Life' Performance Moved in Light of Power Outage
Pontine Theatre presentation scheduled tonight at the library will be moved to John O'Leary Adult Community Center.

The Pontine Theatre's presentation of their table-top version of "It's a Wonderful Life," scheduled at the Merrimack Public Library tonight has been moved due to the power outage at the library.
The performance was moved next door to the library at the John O'Leary Adult Community Center at the same time, from 7-8:30 p.m.
The library has been closed all day as a result of an alleged drunk driving accident that heavily damaged a power pole causing a power surge to the library that damaged the electrical panel.

Pontine Theatre’s Co-Artistic Directors, Marguerite Mathews and Greg Gathers, present their unique, table-top, version of the Frank Capra movie screenplay about George Bailey, a good man in a small town who gets a lesson in self-worth from his guardian angel. The actors bring the story to the stage with a unique combination of shadow puppets, bunraku-style puppets, commedia dell’arte-style masks, live action and a score featuring popular holiday carols. Following the 40-minute performance, audience members are invited on stage to meet the performers and get a closeup look at the set and props. This presentation is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is suitable for adults, teens and children age 10 and older. Registration is recommended as space is limited.
