Job Fair Could Cause Traffic Back-ups

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is warning of heavy traffic on the Everett Turnpike on Friday due to the Merrimack Premium Outlets Job Fair being held at Nashua Community College.

The DOT sent out a tweet about an hour ago saying that motorists should "expect heavy traffic" on the Everett Turnpike near Exit 8 "due to a special event between 8am and 4pm."

The Merrimack Community Development department followed that up with another tweet urging people to get to the job fair early to avoid the traffic.

runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, and there are nearly 800 jobs in need of filling. The Merrimack Premium Outlets are scheduled for a mid-June opening. For a list of some of the shops that will be located in the new outlets,
