Join Merrimack Patch for Chat With the Chief

Merrimack Police Chief Mark Doyle will answer question posed to him by community members during live chat on June 6.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 6, at 5 p.m. and prepare your questions for Merrimack Police Chief Mark Doyle.

Merrimack's top ranking police officer will join Merrimack Patch for a live chat on merrimack.patch.com and you are invited to submit your best questions for him.

Doyle was named as chief just a little more than a year ago after former Police Chief Mike Milligan retired. In March, Doyle was named Business Leader of the Year by the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce. In his time as chief thus far, Doyle has made a push for better communication with the community through the use of social media platforms Facebook and Twitter and with the alert notification system, Nixle, that the department uses to let people know of emergencies, road closures and other pertinent information about goings on in town.

If you can join us for the chat, all you have to do is click on the Live Chat story link that evening and follow along. We'll be using a program called CoverItLive, that allows you to participate without even having to create a username or password. Simply type in the chat box and your questions and comments will be sent to the moderator (Merrimack Patch Editor Carolyn Dube) to be passed along to Doyle.

We'll also have some questions of our own, but this is really about you and the questions you want answered.

So join us Wednesday evening, or be a part of the conversation by posing questions earlier. We'll post the transcript following the chat session for anyone who can't tune in at 5 p.m.
