Kan-Jammin' Tournament Brings Out Best

Event Champions Skianes and Cheli donate winnings back to Merrimack Tomahawk Hockey Boosters in great show of sportsmanship.

While the weather might have been a little on the damp side, the Merrimack High School Hockey Booster Club Kan-Jammin’ tournament was a great time for all. 20 teams competed for the grand prize at Merrimack High School today.

When the competitive event reached the final phase, Team O’Brien/Dubios faced off against Team Skianes/Cheli. The tight match was MC’d by Tomahawk Co-Captain Jason Fortin. When the dust settled, Team Skianes/Cheli edged out O’Brien/Dubois to claim the top prize. In a great show of sportsmanship and community support, Nick Skianes and Eric Cheli donated their winnings back to the Merrimack Hockey Boosters. Their generosity was much appreciated and will greatly benefit the program.

The Merrimack Hockey boosters appreciate all who attended or participated in today’s event and look forward to hosting this annual event going forward. A special thank you to the Kinney Family, the Merrimack School District, the makers of the Merrimack High School Kan-Jam promo video (received great reviews), and all Merrimack Hockey Alumni.
