Swim Lessons Begin on June 22nd

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department is offering swim lessons in Naticook Lake at Wasserman Park through the American Red Cross learn-to-swim program. The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. It is designed to give students a positive learning experience. The objective is to teach children to swim and to be safe in, on and around the water.

Swim Lessons will be offered during 4, two week sessions and run Monday – Friday beginning the week of June 22nd. Swim classes offered are; Pre-School – Intro to Swimming geared toward children ages 3 -4, Level 1 – Water Exploration, Level 2 – Primary Skills, and Level 3 – Stroke Readiness all geared toward children ages 5 and up. Classes are held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, participants participate in an educational component on swimming.
