To the Editor:
We have called Merrimack our home for the past forty-four years. During this time we have seen dozens of selectmen and town councilors, some good, and some forgettable. The best have been good listeners, logical thinkers, and have had an unabrasive style.
Lon Woods will be on the ballot in Merrimack on Tuesday, April 9th as a candidate for town council. We have known Lon since 1976 and have worked with him professionally as well as serving with him on the municipal budget committee. He is without question a good listener, logical thinker, and has an unabrasive style. Although we have not always agreed with him, there is no doubt in our mind that he would be a positive addition to the town council. As a longtime resident, he has an institutional memory which would certainly be a benefit.
