List of 1,200 Products Recalled by New England Compounding Center

Over the weekend, New England Compounding Center of Framingham voluntarily recalled all of its products, after recalling steroids, that have been linked to a national meningitis outbreak.

Since the recall, more than 115 people have contracted fungal meningitis from the steroid injections and 11 people have died in 9 states.

The specialty pharmacy, which is licensed to distribute in all 50 states, sent some of the tainted steroids to New Hampshire. According to the latest from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, as many as 742 NH residents may have been given the drug. So far no cases of related meningitis have been identified in New Hampshire. The steroids were distributed by Pain Care LLC, which has 12 sites in New Hampshire, but only the clinics in Merrimack, Somersworth and Newington are part of the investigation
