Londonderry Man Charged With Aggravated OUI In Merrimack
Michael Gagnon was allegedly driving more than 80 mph on the Daniel Webster Highway last night, according to police.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man is due in court next week on drunk driving charges after allegedly driving at excessive speeds on the Daniel Webster Highway, according to police. Michael J. Gagnon, 57, of Winding Pond Road in Londonderry, was arrested on March 21, 2018, for aggravated operating under the influence-liquor and operating under the influence-liquor. At just before 7 p.m. last night, an officer stopped a vehicle on the DW Highway near Industrial Drive “speed, specifically, a motorist traveling in excess of 80 MPH in a posted 40 MPH speed zone,” according to Lt. Matthew Tarleton of the Merrimack Police Department.

“While speaking with Gagnon about the speed violation, officers observed signs of alcohol impairment,” Tarleton alleged. “Upon further investigation, it was determined that Gagnon was driving while intoxicated and he was placed under arrest.”

Gagnon was charged, processed, and released on personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on March 29.
