Mahon New Town Council Chairman

Councilors pick experienced hand ahead of another busy budget year.

Thomas J. Mahon is the new chairman of the Merrimack Town Council.

Councilors unanimously chose him at their meeting Thursday night. He succeeds Finlay C. Rothhaus, who was named vice chairman.

William Boyd, former vice chairman, made the motion for Mahon as chairman, citing his experience as a former public administrator and a teacher.
