Man Charged for Allegedly Hosting Underage Alcohol Party

A local man is scheduled to be in court next month after avoiding police for more than a week for allegedly hosting an underage alcohol party earlier this month.

Matthew Andrick, 25, of Belmont Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on Nov. 15, on a warrant for facilitating an underage alcohol house party.

According to police, at just before 2 a.m., officers were called to a local residence for a report of a fight.

When they arrived at the home, they observed that a party was taking place at the home involving a large number of people.

“Officer’s determined that there were at least five people who were present at the local residence who were under the age of 21-years-old and who had also been consuming alcoholic beverages,” according to Sgt. Kenneth MacLeod.

Police later issued a warrant after investigating the incident to arrest Andrick, the alleged host of the party. He was arrested a week later.

Andrick was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Dec. 17.
