Man Faces Assault, Stalking Charges

Merrimack police charge Seabrook man in Monday altercation.

Merrimack police charged Michael Depont with stalking and three counts of simple assault in connection with a Monday altercation.

Depont, of 36 Scott Ave., Seabrook, is scheduled to be in court Tuesday to answer to the allegations.

Merrimack police say officers responded to a residence on Merrimack Drive for a reported domestic violence complaint. Once there, a woman told police that Depont, her boyfriend, allegedly assaulted her by choking her, kicking her and throwing her onto the ground.

Depont left the scene before police arrived and he could not be located, police said.
