Manchester Man Arrested on Gun Charge
Merrimack Police arrest Shamus Rodriguez after reports of gunshots behind Commons Plaza yesterday.

A local man with a previous charge of reportedly firing a gun in an inappropriate area has been charged again with another gun charge.
Shamus Rodriguez, 20, of Frederick Street in Manchester, was arrested on Oct. 12, 2015, on a concealing a firearm without a permit charge.

Rodriguez was arrested after police were sent to the wooded area behind the Commons Plaza for a report of unauthorized shooting in the area.
Police met up with four individuals including Rodriguez.

“As a result of the investigation Shamus Rodriguez was placed under arrest for carrying and concealing a firearm without a permit,” according to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department. “It is alleged that Rodriguez was in possession of a loaded firearm as he sat in a motor vehicle in the area.”
Rodriguez was released on $500 cash bail and personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on Nov. 3.
Rodriguez was arrested in December of last year after police were called to an “active shooter” scene along the Hooksett-Manchester line after he and a Merrimack man were allegedly firing guns behind local businesses.
