While investigating the incident, police learned that a second person reportedly involved in the theft had fled the store on foot.

“It was later learned that the person who fled the store was identified by an employee at the store as being Luis Anthony Maldonado,” according to Sgt. Kenneth MacLeod of the Merrimack Police Department.

A warrant for the arrest of Maldonado was issued on March 31, for the charge of theft by unauthorized taking, a felony level offense, due to previous incidents.

Yesterday, Maldonado was arrested by Hooksett Police on the warrant. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on June 2.
