Manchester PAL Dominates State Championships

NASHUA, NH, Feb 24, 2019 - The New Hampshire Wrestling Association for (NHWAY) hosted its 2nd annual 14U State Championships at Nashua South High School on Sunday.

The competition drew 322 of the best wrestlers from across the state filling brackets ranging from 37 pounds up to 215 pounds. Wrestlers were distributed among five age divisions in mostly 8-man
double elimination brackets with twelve brackets requiring a 16-man bracket to determine the eventual champion. A total of 52 state champions were crowned in an exciting day of wrestling.

With 12 individual State Champs, 8 runners-up and 6 third place finishers, the Manchester Police Athletic League (MPAL) turned in a dominant team performance and took the team championship by 32 points over last year’s champion Salem. Complete team and individual results were as follows.
