After the summer vacations and fun times with friends and family, we tend to get back to a routine starting in September. The Y has many new wellness offerings starting in September. Here's a partial list:
Adaptive Strength Training

This class will teach individuals with different abilities how to engage in safe and effective strength training workouts in a friendly and encouraging environment.
Functional Strength
Get in, have fun and get it done! Join other inspiring members in a trainer led workout, based around core work, cardio conditioning and total body strength. Class will use program areas that will include the track, the Synrgy station and the weight room. Please bring your own mat, water and a positive attitude.
Group Strength
A challenging, yet adaptable, total-body, strength class for ALL FITNESS LEVELS. This, twice-per-week, class is designed to hit all major muscle groups every session to provide more consistent muscle stimulation to help speed-up your results. The instructor will take you through a 1-hour workout each class, starting with a warm-up before progressing to your main strength moves of the day and ending with a cool-down stretch.
H.A.B.I.T.S.
Need some help with accountability, or just someone to provide overall structure and support? Join our 8-week Habits program to help get the spark back in your health and wellness journey. Work with a fitness professional to help gain a better understanding of strength training and nutrition habits to help you find success! Work in a group with other motivated individuals for support and community!
Beginner Kickboxing/MMA Striking (Level 1)
A fun, progressive, heart-pounding, and skill-based class, where you will learn proper martial arts technique while burning calories, shedding pounds, toning-up, and dripping sweat. This once-per-week class is designed to make you forget you're working out by doing constant light movement and forcing you to focus on proper technique and sequencing instead of all the sweat you've accumulated. Learn the traditional and modern striking techniques from Boxing, Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, & MMA while using your hands, feet, elbows, & knees to throw combinations on punching bags, focus mitts, Thai pads, and mid-air to give variety and balance between speed, precision, & power. No experience necessary!
Martial Arts
An introduction to martial arts designed to improve listening, motor skills and confidence. Students have fun and exercise while learning to focus and follow directions.
Men’s Powerlifting
A class focusing on the three major compound lifts, Squat, Bench, and Deadlift. Learn proper form with the guidance of a trainer in a fun and safe environment.
Women’s Workout
A full body workout class offered virtually. Get a great workout from the from the comforts of your home.
Kids' Conditioning
This class provides a positive and nurturing environment for youth to participate in speed, conditioning, and agility workouts through game based learning.
Kids' on the Move
Through this progressive program, your child will learn the principles of strength training, including proper form and technique, techniques needed for the weight room, rules for usage of the Wellness Center, goal based training approaches and why what you eat matters. After successful completion of the program, you and your child will be able to work out together in the Wellness Center. Due to the programs progressive nature and for safety reasons participants are allowed to miss a MAXIMUM of 2 classes during the term.
Obstacle Course
Test your balance and Coordination in our fun and exciting obstacle course class.
Teach Teens to Lift
This class will help teens become interested in learning how to lift weights through different workouts each week using bands, dumbbells, and other forms of resistance to help teens gain knowledge and understanding of how to properly resistance train.
