Merrimack Beats Kearsarge at Granite State Challenge
The Tomahawks had an early lead and held it against the Cougars.

DURHAM, NH - In this week's Granite State Challenge match, Merrimack High School beat Kearsarge Regional by a score of 400 to 300. Merrimack closed the first round with a slight advantage and kept the lead throughout.
The Merrimack Tomahawks team was represented by captain Jack Landry, Bailey Joseph, Pooja Agrawal, and Zev Sernik, and coached by Sara Campbell. The Kearsarge Cougars team was represented by captain Aidan Terhune, Eric Scheuch, Elise Paquette, and David Russell, and coached by Randy Wormald.

Merrimack High School now advances to the semifinals of Granite State Challenge.
Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, the popular quiz contest began the season with 16 Granite State high school teams battling toward the coveted SuperChallenge title. Also, for a fourth year, there will be a Granite State vs. Bay State Governor's Cup match between the winners of the Granite State SuperChallenge E and the WGBH Boston High School Quiz Show.

New Hampshire's top high school academic teams demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts as they play Granite State Challenge The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts and fine arts fact-along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New England.
