Merrimack Boy Scout Troop 424 holds their Fall Court of Honor
Merrimack Boy Scout Troop 424 held its fall Court of Honor to recognize the achievements the scouts earned over the past three months.

On Thursday, Oct. 9, Merrimack Troop 424 held its fall Court of Honor to recognize the achievements the boy scouts earned over the past three months. The Masters of Ceremony were Justin Calautti and Connor Maloney. They were responsible for organizing the event and assisting the Scout Master, Jim Jolly, with handing out 12 rank advancements and 155 individual merit badges that encompassed 12 Eagle Required Merit Badges along with 27 standard merit badges. The scouts worked hard to earn these merit badges over the past few months. Most of the merit badges were earned when the scouts attended two camps this past summer; Hidden Valley in New Hampshire and Baiting Hallow on Long Island, New York. This is the highest number of merit badges received at a Court of Honor in the troop’s history. This was a great accomplishment for the scouts and our troop.
The rank advancements received at the Court of Honor were Life, Star and Tenderfoot. Two scouts, Blake Bormuth and Connor Maloney received their Life rank and Sahith Kaki received his Star rank. The following scouts received their Tenderfoot rank; Simon August, Ethan Burns, Michael Clark, Patrick Gailus, Jay Haddad, John Hilliard, Nick Schmitt, Rohan Sreenivasan and Ethan Zebuhr.
The evening also included scouts receiving their position of responsibility patches along with the handing out of a special award to Joe Mroz and Bryce Stack. These two scouts earned their World Conservation Award.
