Merrimack Chamber of Commerce to hold 52nd annual Excellence Awards on September 22. Proceeds from silent auction benefit scholarship fund.

Merrimack...From Farms and Ferries to the Future!

The Merrimack Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 52nd annual Excellence Awards will be held September 22nd, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Event Center in Nashua. This celebration combines business excellence with community involvement and a large silent auction, the proceeds of which benefit the Chamber's scholarship fund. Major sponsors of this year's event are BAE Systems and Enterprise Bank.

This year's event will celebrate Merrimack through the years - From Farms and Ferries to the Future. This celebratory evening will be held at the new Event Center located at the Courtyard by Marriott in Nashua. Join an estimated 200 business leaders, dignitaries and community members who will view and bid on dozens of auction items, applaud those businesses and individuals receiving Excellence Awards, and enjoy creative and delicious cuisine prepared by the Event Center's Executive Chef.

Awards that will be presented that night include 2016 Business of the Year, Business Leader of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year. New this year is the Small Business of the Year category. "These awards recognize the contributions from businesses and individuals who demonstrate leadership and community involvement, and make Merrimack a better place to live and work as a result," said Dawn Shepherd, President of the Chamber.

The silent auction is the primary fundraiser for the Merrimack Chamber's scholarship fund, which has given over $40,000 to deserving high school seniors since 2004. One of this year's scholarship recipients, Jack L., said, "This scholarship will be a huge help in my pursuit to become a public servant.... I hope that I can make the Chamber of Commerce proud."
