Merrimack Conservation Commission 15th Annual Seedling Give-Away
Annual Free Seedling Give-Away

!!! Just in time for Mother’s Day !!!
The Merrimack Conservation Commission is preparing for the Commission’s 15th Annual Seedling Give-Away program.
Come rain or shine, on Saturday May 9th, 2015 from 9:00AM to 12:00AM at Currier Orchards, 9 Peaslee Rd, Merrimack, seedlings will be dispensed to Merrimack residents on a first come first serve basis.
This year’s selection of seedlings consists of thirteen different varieties of native hardwoods, dogwoods and other native plantings. These non-invasive plants, in their mature state, support a wide variety of wildlife and songbirds throughout the year.
The reason for the annual free give-away program is to encourage residents to maintain green space in our town while providing food for wildlife. Come early for your choice of seedlings as this is a popular event. There is plenty of parking at the orchard.
All seedlings are grown at the NH State Nursery in Boscowan. Visit www.nhnursery.com for the comprehensive list of available seedlings and suggested planting instructions.
