Merrimack Fire Extinguishes Truck Fire on Daniel Webster Highway

Expect delays near Twin Bridge Road during the cleanup effort today.

MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams were called to the Daniel Webster Highway near Twin Bridge Road this morning for a truck fire.

According to alerts online, the call came in at just before noon on April 26, 2016. The fire was in the compactor section of a trash truck.

According to Jeffrey Hastings, who took these photos, the driver sustained minor burns to their hands. The fire department is also building dikes to stop the flow of oil and hydraulics from the vehicle. Expect traffic delays while the cleanup is underway.
