Merrimack Fire Tackling Brush Fire
Fire on Matthew Drive is at two alarms; wooded area by Belmont Drive contained, according to firefighters.
MERRIMACK, NH - Merrimack Fire and Rescue teams were sent to a brush fire on Matthew Drive at around 12:30 p.m. on May 12, 2016, according to alerts online.
The fire went to two alarms shortly after firefighters were sent to an area between Matthew Drive and Belmont Drive, with multiple mutual aid units being sent to the scene.
Belmont Drive, according to police, is also closed due wires down in the road but firefighters reportedly stated that it was their water lines in the road, not wires. Police are requesting residents to seek alternative routes since the road is closed.

At about 1:20 p.m., the fire was brought under control, according to Merrimack Fire.
