Merrimack Fire Warns Of Possible Fundraising Scam
Merrimack FD said it has received reports that phone agency scam is falsely claiming to raise money for Merrimack Volunteer Fire Department.
MERRIMACK, NH — The Merrimack Fire Department has issued a warning to residents to beware of a phone agency scam falsely claiming to be raising money for the Merrimack Volunteer Fire Department and Merrimack Volunteer Firefighters. Merrimack FD said there is no such fundraising campaign going on at this time.
Merrimack FD posted the following on its Facebook page on Tuesday: "As with any solicitation for fundraising please contribute to only reputable methods. If it sounds fishy ..... It is."
