Merrimack Fire: Yes, We Rescue Birds

Police officers, and fire and rescue teams, rescued baby birds on Thursday that fell down a storm drain.

MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack fire and rescue teams, as well as police, assisted in rescuing baby birds from a storm drain on Thursday.

A firefighter climbed down a ladder into the storm drain to rescue the birds. He then slowly brought them back up.

“Yes,” the Merrimack Fire Rescue Facebook post said, “we do that.”
