Who are the Professional Firefighters of Merrimack Local #2904? The Professional Firefighters of Merrimack are Local #2904 of the International Association of Firefighters. We are made up of career firefighters employed by the Town of Merrimack, NH and Merrimack Fire Rescue. We are a non-profit organization that gives back to the community we serve in numerous ways including our Oil Fund Assistance Program, Thanksgiving Day Meal Donations, Santa Fund Donations, and Scholarship Programs. Recently the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce recognized Local #2904 as their 2013 Volunteer of the Year for our work within the community.

Who is MDA? The Muscular Dystrophy Association is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. They do so by funding worldwide research; by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide; and by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement. Goal: To bring awareness to MDA and Local #2904’s charitable efforts. Through donations, team registration and sponsorships the event will provide funding to Local #2904 and a 50/50 split with MDA.

Concept: All ages teams of 4-6 will register and compete for prizes/bragging rights. The top 3 scores will be recognized. Teams are encouraged to bring some “spirit” by wearing team uniforms. (example: Merrymac Games participating in full cosplay outfits) The idea is to break the mold of popular fundraising events life golf tournaments, 5k’s, etc… And provide a fun event for all ages, fitness levels and interests within town.

Food: A variety of “light fare” will be available for participants to enjoy at no additional cost. Merrimack Ten Pin. Extra consideration will be given to keep the food in restricted areas. Bowling alley snack bar and drinks (including alcohol) will be available for purchase at the snack bar.

Registration: Persons interested in participating will be able to register online and if lanes are available, at the door. The cost is $150 per team with a minimum of 4 bowlers and a maximum of 6 per team. Registration includes a goodie bag, shoe rental, bowling and access to the light fare buffet.
