Merrimack High School Preparing Senior Send-Off

Class of 2011 will march toward future with Saturday's commencement excercises.

Merrimack High School will send off its senior class in grand fashion Saturday with its commencement ceremony, scheduled for 10 a.m. on the athletic field behind the high school at 38 McElwain St., Merrimack.

The the soon-to-be-graduates capped off their Senior Week packed with events with a semi-formal cruise of Boston Harbor Thursday night aboard the Odyssey.

Following are this year's Top 10 graduates and their plans for next year.

Valedictorian: Kara Jolly, daughter of James and Kathleen Jolly. Kara plans to attend Clemson University to study biological science.

Salutatorian: Shayna Garkofsky, daughter of Seth and Hollis Garkofsky. Shayna plans to attend New York University to study political science.

No. 3: Allison Belliveau, daughter of Edward and Sharon Belliveau. Allison plans to attend Northeastern University to study chemistry.

No. 4: Swarna Veeramani, daughter of Ranganathan Veeramani and Sivaramakrishnan Meenakshi. Swarna plans to attend the University of Massachusetts-Amherst to study biochemistry.

No. 5: Patrick Greene, son of Daniel and Cherie Green. Patrick plans to attend the University of New Hampshire to study engineering and physical science.

No. 6: Erik Hobbs, son of Robert and Nancy Hobbs. Erik plans to attend the University of Delaware to study chemical engineering.

No. 7: Samantha Donovan, daughter of Joseph and Robin Donovan. Samantha plans to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to study chemistry.

No. 8: Erica Sebastyan, daughter of  Andrew and Andrea Sebastyan. Erica plans to attend the University of Gvelph (in Ontario, Canada) to study animal science.

No. 9: Michael Murgo, son of Tony and Linda Murgo. Michael plans to attend Connecticut College to study political science.

No. 10: Peter Robinson, son of Scott and Victoria Robinson. Peter plans to attend Pennsylvania State University to study material science and engineering.
