MHS presents the 'The Curious Savage'
Opening night is Thursday at 7 p.m. and will continue Friday and Saturday evenings, also at 7.

Beginning Thursday and running through Saturday, the Merrimack High School Theatre Department will present "The Curious Savage," a comedy about greed and money, that begs the question, what you'd you do if $10 million was willed to you?
In this production, the main character answers that question. "The Curious Savage" is the story of Ethel Savage, who decides to use the $10 million her husband left her to establish a fund to help others realize their foolish dreams.
High in comedic value, "The Curious Savage" will leave the audience with a feeling that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in this world – one that seems motivated at times only by greed and dishonesty. These vices, unfortunately, are quite obvious in her three selfish children.
Committed to "The Cloisters" by these children, Savage meets five eccentric misfits who cannot adjust to life in the outside world. Elements of mystery, music, and pathos are all evident in this late 1950s comedy, which is suitable for the entire family.
Student actors include Abigail Varano as Ethel Savage, as well as Emma Cook, Crystal Devoe, Anna-Maria Forger, Luisa Forger, Travis Gilliam, Paxton Gray, Kaycee Hutchins, Jared Reynolds, Katie Sibley, Jonathan Watson, Emily Whaley, Tabitha Whatcott, Joel Yates and understudies Brad Greenland and Kaitlyn McGee.
Behind the scene students include Alex Williamson (stage manager), Elisha Roskelley and Jenna Ives (assistant stage managers), Anna Parsons, Steven Parsons, Marjorie Boyer, Lisa Burnham, Adam Beauparlant, Christine Aiello, Anna Forger, Joel Yates, Michaela Fitzgerald and Dom DeFrancisco.
The production team consists of Fran White (director), Linda Mandra (producer), Beth Schwartz (costumer), Gretchen Gray (props), Kathy Farland (refreshments), Don Farland (set construction), Norm St. Germain (lighting) and Cindy Whaley (tickets).
