Merrimack Man Arrested for Drunk Driving
Police arrest Ricky Burgess in a parking lot off the Daniel Webster Highway earlier this month after he reportedly struck a curb.

MERRIMACK, NH - Police arrested a local man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after reportedly seeing him driving erratically, according to an arrest report.
Ricky Burgess, 61, of Elm Street in Merrimack, was arrested at 9:20 p.m. on April 9, 2016, for operating under the influence-liquor.

An officer was in the area of a local business on the Daniel Webster Highway when he reportedly saw a driver operating erratically in a parking lot.

“The officer observed the vehicle strike a curb and subsequently stopped the vehicle where the operator was identified as Ricky Burgess,” according to Sgt. Kenneth MacLeod of the Merrimack Police Department. “Upon making contact with Burgess, the officer observed that Burgess was showing signs of being under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Upon further investigation by the officer, Burgess was placed under arrest for OUIL.”
Burgess was released on personal recognizance bail and was scheduled to be arraigned on April 14.
