Merrimack Man Arrested on DWI Charges
Police arrested Derek Hanley on Cross Street this morning.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man is due in court next week to face drunk driving charges after being arrested this morning, according to police. Derek Hanley, 22, of Sarah Drive in Merrimack, was arrested on Dec. 6, 2016, for operating under the influence of liquor and operating under the influence-per se.

This morning, Hanley was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Cross Street, according to Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department.

“The officer noticed signs of impairment with the operator, identified as Derek Hanley, and conducted an investigation which included field sobriety tests,” he noted. “After the investigation was completed, Hanley was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor.”
Hanley was processed and released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He is due in court on Dec. 13.
