Merrimack Man Arrested For OUI-Liquor – Again

Police arrested Joseph Lindsey on Bedford Road last week after a traffic stop. He was convicted of drunk driving in 2015, police say.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man, previously charged with drunk driving and convicted in 2015, was arrested again last week after a traffic stop in town, according to police. Joseph W. Lindsey, 42, of Powers Circle in Merrimack, was arrested on July 22, 2017, for operating under the influence-liquor, operating under the influence-liquor-second offense, and highway markings violation. At around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, an officer on Bedford Road stopped a vehicle for a highway markings violation, according to Sgt. Gregory Walters of the Merrimack Police Department. “The officer suspected signs of impairment with Lindsey,” Walters alleged in a press statement. “After a brief investigation, Lindsey was arrested and charged with OUIL and highway markings. A record check showed that Lindsey had been previously convicted of OUIL in 2015.”

Walters was arrested and transported to police headquarters. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court tomorrow.
