Merrimack Man Charged with Domestic Violence

Police arrest Stephan O'Reilly he allegedly assaulted a family member.

MERRIMACK, NH — A local man was arrested on an assault charge last month and after refusing bail, had a court date the next day, according to police. Stephan O’Reilly, 47, of Merrimack, was arrested on Dec. 4, 2016, and charged with domestic violence.

At just before 5:30 p.m., Merrimack Police were sent to a local home for a report of a domestic disturbance, according to Sgt. Gregory Walters.

“Upon their arrival, they were made aware of an assault that had occurred to a family member at the residence,” Walters alleged. “O’Reilly had left the residence prior to the police’s arrival; but he shortly returned to the residence and was arrested.”

O’Reilly refused bail and was arraigned on Dec. 5, according to the report.
