Merrimack Man Charged With Heroin Possession

A Merrimack man was arrested for possession of illicit drugs after a 911 call was placed for an unknown problem with a 21-year-old male.

On Friday June 8, Merrimack Police responded to 1 Scituate Place, No. 5, around 6:30 and made contact with the man in question, Allen Smith, who resides at that address.

Police say they found him to be in possession of small quantities of marijuana and heroin. He was placed under arrest and held over night in the Hillsborough County House of Correction on $5,000 cash bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack's district court Monday morning, June 11.
