Merrimack Man, Others to Sing National Anthem at Revolution Game
Eric Ruthenberg, Kirk Young, Matt Mercier, and Marc Rosenbaum, the Average Joes, are one of three acts that will perform at home games.
FOXBOROUGH, MA - Members of the Average Joes quartet - Eric Ruthenberg of Merrimack, Kirk Young of Tilton, Matt Mercier of Hooksett, and Marc Rosenbaum of Sudbury, MA, - have all been selected as one of three winning musical acts chosen by the New England Revolution to perform the national anthem at a Revs home match during the 2016 season.
The Average Joes earned the opportunity by edging out the competition during the fourth annual New England Revolution National Anthem Auditions on March 9, 2016, at the Lansdowne Pub in Boston. The event was also part of the club’s official 2016 Pub Tour presented by Budweiser.
Ruthenberg and the “Average Joes" performed an outstanding rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner and were crowned winners along with Danielle Luma of Foxborough, MA and Brynn Cartelli of Longmeadow, MA.
