Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department ~ Summer Concert Series ~ Lakes Region Big Band

On Wednesday, August 14, from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Departments Summer Concert Series continues with a performance by the “Lakes Region Big Band” at Abbie Griffin Park.  With a repertoire, ranging from the swinging standards from Glen Miller and Tommy Dorsey, to the hard driving styles of Basie and Buddy Rich, to contemporary charts by Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, the Lakes Region Big Band truly embraces everything you would expect from a big band.  Bring a picnic basket, blanket, and your family and friends and join us for a night of what promises to be outstanding entertainment!

Every Wednesday throughout the summer, we offer our Summer Concert Series at Abbie Griffin Park.  Each performance is held from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and is open to the public with FREE admission!  In the event of rain, the concert will relocate to the Merrimack High School Little Theater.
