Merrimack Police Hunting for Gas Station Robber

Last night, around 11 p.m., Merrimack Police responded to the Gulf Gas Station located at 1 Continental Blvd. for a reported Robbery that had just taken place, according to an alert.

When they arrived, officers discovered that a male or possibly a female, had entered the store wearing a mask and hooded sweatshirt. The unknown suspect approached the clerk and brandished a weapon, according to police.

“The suspect demanded the clerk open the cash register and after they refused an altercation ensued,” according to a post on the Merrimack Police Facebook site. “The suspect fled the store but was chased out by the clerk who was attempted to stop the suspect. During the altercation, the clerk was assaulted with the weapon but did not sustain life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the area in a small compact grey vehicle.”
