Merrimack’s Clark Heading To The United States Coast Guard Academy

When the 2022 Merrimack High School graduate completes his schooling, he will have a bachelor's degree and will be a commissioned officer.

MERRIMACK, NH — Later this month, one of Merrimack High School’s 2022 graduates will be heading into the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

Gavin Clark of Merrimack is one of less than 400 appointments to the academy for the Class of 2026. More than 2,000 applied to attend. Clark will receive a full-tuition scholarship as well as a monthly stipend for five years. After he completes the academy, he will have a Bachelor of Science degree and will be a commissioned officer, with a leadership position, in the Coast Guard.

Clark is the son of Andrew and Heather Clark, also of Merrimack.
