Merrimack Sex Offender Arrested

Merrimack Police allege that Jason Pillsbury failed to notify about a change of address.

A local man was arrested this week on a felony charge, according to a police report.

Jason David Pillsbury, 39, of Maple Ridge in Merrimack, was arrested on Nov. 18, on a felony sex offender failing to report change of address.

According to police, Pillsbury was a convicted sex offender since 1995 having been convicted of felonious sexual assault on a child older than 13 by younger than 16. He had been living on Baboosic Lake Road until Oct. 31. Police learned last week that he had moved into a new home but allegedly failed to tell police within five business days of the move, a notification process that is required by law.

“The charge has an enhanced penalty due to the defendant knowing he was required to notify of the change and failed to do so,” according to Detective Scott Park.

Pillsbury is due in court on Dec. 16.
