With winter weather in the rearview mirror, the town's skate park on O'Gara Drive is preparing to open for the season.
The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department will open the skate park for the 2013 season on Friday, April 19, just in time for Merrimack's April vacation.
As usual, park rules state that if it is raining or the equipment is wet, the park will be closed for safety reasons. The use of safety equipment is strongly recommended. Per RSA 265:144X bike helmets are required for bicycle riders younger than 16, and recommended for all.
