Merrimack Teen Arrested for Assault
Police: Connor Bergin struck another Merrimack High School student in the chest with a closed fist last month.

A local high school student was arrested on Wednesday on a warrant connected to an assault incident at Merrimack High School in May.
Connor Bergin, 17, of Holly Lane in Merrimack, was arrested on June 10, 2015, on a simple assault charge.

According to police, a detective was sent to the main office of the school on May 22, 2015, at around 9:30 a.m. for a report of an assault incident between two students.
The detective spoke with the involved parties and witnesses, and “while doing so, it was reported to (the detective) that Bergin had struck another student in the chest with a closed fist,” according to the report. A warrant was issued for Bergin with the offense of simple assault. He turned himself in to police at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and was processed.

Bergin, a previous honor roll student, was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack Circuit Court on June 25.
