Merrimack Teen Arrested on Pot Charge

MERRIMACK, NH — A local teen was arrested last month on a marijuana possession charge, according to police. William Summers, 18, of London Court in Merrimack, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug.

An officer at around 1:30 a.m. stopped to speak with a subject on the side of the road. As the officer spoke with the subject, Summers, “he was able to gather evidence and determine that Summers was in possession of marijuana.” Sgt. Eric Marquis of the Merrimack Police Department stated, “Summers was subsequently placed under arrest for being in possession of marijuana.”

Summers was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Sept. 29.
