Merrimack Teens Read to Feed
Info on our upcoming teen read-a-thon at the Merrimack Public Library

The Merrimack Public Library is hosting “Teens Read to Feed,” a teen read-a-Thon to benefit the St. John Neumann’s Food Pantry on Sunday, February 9th from 1-5 PM. Teens in grades 6-12 can drop in anytime between those hours for a bite to eat and spend some time reading to collect food for those in need. Read books, magazines, e-books, comics—anything you want! Stay for a half hour or the entire 4 hours. It’s up to you. The more you read, the more you will feed a family in need. Registration for this event is preferred but not required. You can register at the library, over the phone, or online at www.merrimacklibrary.org. Teens can earn community service hours for their time at “Read to Feed”, just be sure to specify that on the sign-up form, which can be accessed here.
We are seeking pledges of nonperishable food items to be donated by businesses or individuals for the time teens spend reading. If you or your business would like to support area teens and their effort to raise food for our local food pantry, sponsorships can be in the form of an amount of goods per time read or a fixed donation of goods. For more information please contact Head of Youth Services Liz Gotauco at (603) 424-5021 or liz@merrimacklibrary.org.
