Merrimack Veterinary Hospital Announces Advancements in Dentistry

Local animal hospital committed to providing the highest quality dental care to its patients.

Merrimack Veterinary Hospital recently invested in advanced training and equipment to ensure the highest quality dental care for all pets, according to a press statement.

Studies show that 50 percent of all dogs and cats have some form of periodontal disease and that number jumps to 75 percent when you look specifically at pets over age three. Left untreated, periodontal disease can cause infection, pain and tooth loss over time. It can also lead to microscopic changes in the heart, liver and kidneys and can cause serious health problems for both canines and felines.

Merrimack Veterinary Hospital is committed to our patients’ dental health and implements the highest quality dental care. We take a comprehensive approach to dental care including dental health assessment, treatment and prevention. We have state of the art dental equipment including digital x-rays to help diagnose disease. 75 percent of oral radiography cases reveal disease not visible to the eye.
