Merrimack Woman Arrested on Drug Charge

Police charge Rebecca Schilke after heading to a suspicious vehicle call on Den Avenue last month.

MERRIMACK, NH - A local woman is expected in court later this month after being arrested last month on a possession charge, according to police.

Rebecca Schilke, 21, of Tamworth Lane in Merrimack, was arrested on April 20, 2016, and charged with possession of a controlled drug (marijuana).

According to police report, at around 8:20 p.m., officers received a suspicious vehicle call on Den Avenue near Heidi Lane.

When they arrived, they located a vehicle, spoke to the operator, and allegedly detected “the odor of freshly burnt marijuana,” according to Lt. Dean KillKelley of the Merrimack Police Department.

Schilke was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed, and released on personal recognizance bail.

According to police, she’s scheduled to be in Merrimack District Court on May 26.
