Merrimack Youth Association competes in the 19th Annual Rebel New England Classic

Two MYA Wrestlers bring home the champ title

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program competed in the Rebel New England Classic held at Pinkerton Academy on March 20, 2016.  This tournament attracts stiff competition as it is a qualifying tournament for the Tournament of Champions and Gene Mills Eastern Nationals.  Merrimack sent nine wrestlers to compete with individual results below:

First grader Rhys Dewar placed fourth on the day with one win by pin.

Second grader, Cayden Dine completed his stellar season by breezing through his bracket and pinning all three opponents to take first place.  The championship bout was particularly impressive as he came from behind managing to bridge out of a near pin to end up pinning his opponent in the end.
