Merrimack Youth Association competes in the NH State Championships

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program competed in the 12th Annual NH State K-4 Wrestling Championships held at Nashua North High School on February 28, 2016.  Merrimack sent ten wrestlers to compete with individual results below.

First graders Benjamin Koudriashov and Collin Schuster both finished in third place each with one win by pin.  Schuster narrowly lost his last match by one point in OT.

Kael McAloon, grade 1, was one of three runners-up from Merrimack to take second place with one pin on the day.

First grader, Rhys Dewar continued his reign as state champ by taking first place for the second year in a row with two wins by pin.

Christian Chestnut, grade 2, brought home second place medal with two pins.

Second graders Cayden Dine and Jackson Meehan received state champ titles both coming in first and also both pinning all of their opponents on the day.

Ivey Johnson, grade 3, had a strong performance bringing home another state champ title for Merrimack finishing in first.  She pinned one of her opponents and won the last match by a strong margin in points.

Fourth grader, Mitchell Krupp placed fourth with two very narrow losses by a mere few points.

Owen Forrest, grade 4, took second place with a commanding win by points in his first match and another win by points in the final round.
