Merrimack Youth Wrestlers Head to Manchester
Ten youth wrestlers compete in the 4th annual Crusader Open in Manchester
The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program sent ten wrestlers to compete in the 4th annual Crusader Open tournament held at Manchester Memorial High School in Manchester, NH, January 25, 2015. Individual results were as follows:
First grade phenom Cayden Dine continued his stellar season by racking up three wins, one by pin, for another first place crown.
Sixth grader Aiden Hanning lost only once on the day in a bracket full of talent he’ll surely see again in the New England Championships. That was good enough to bring home second place honors.

Second grader Ivey Johnson pinned her first opponent and had a spectacular throw that brought the crowd to its feet in her second match. She finished in third on the day.
Other competitors included kindergartner Kael McAloon, first grader Jackson Meehan, third graders Owen Forrest, Mitchell Krupp, and Marshall Koranda, and fifth grader Hunter Adams.

Sixth grader Anthony Maglio forfeited his matches due to injury. He is expected to make a full recovery in time for the late season tournament push.

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program is part of the Merrimack Youth Association. It strives to provide a safe recreational activity for Merrimack children in grades K-6. The program promotes the sport of wrestling, the world’s oldest sport, by providing a safe practice environment, by delivering high quality instruction, and by facilitating tournament competition opportunities. The Program is in its 9th season and currently has 40 wrestlers on its roster.
