Merrimack Youth Wrestling Competes at Red Devil Rumble Tournament
The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program faced stiff competition in Burlington, MA.

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program sent seven wrestlers to compete in the Red Devil Rumble Wrestling Tournament held at Burlington High School in Burlington, MA, Dec. 14. Individual results were as follows:
Cayden Dine, grade 1, lost his first match by pin but won his last two matches, one by pin and one by points, to finish on the podium in 2nd place.
Rhys Dewar and Kael McAloon, both kindergartners, each wrestled in their first tournament finishing in 3rd place and 4th place respectively. Rhys won one of his matches by pin. Kael lost a one of the most competitive matches of the day in overtime 15-17.

Jackson Meehan, grade 1, won one match by pin in a very competitive bracket to eventually finish in 3rd place.
Mitchell Krupp, grade 3, Hunter Adams, grade 5, and Anson Dewar, grade 6, all failed to finish on the podium with only Dewar winning a match.

The Merrimack Youth Wrestling Program is part of the Merrimack Youth Association. It strives to provide a safe recreational activity for Merrimack children in grades K-6. The program promotes the sport of wrestling, the world’s oldest sport, by providing a safe practice environment, by delivering high quality instruction, and by facilitating tournament competition opportunities. The Program is in its 9th season and currently has 40 wrestlers on its roster.
