Merrimack Youth Wrestling Registration Opens Saturday

WELCOME to the 2014-2015 Merrimack Youth Wrestling season!

We are excited to announce that registration opens this week! The program is open to Merrimack boys and girls in grades K-6.

Our program is designed to provide a wrestling knowledge base to young athletes. Each wrestler competes according to his/her weight, age, and experience level. We do not have weight categories and wrestlers do not have to “make weight”. Our focus, as a program, will be:

• To provide a safe environment for each wrestler.
  
• To provide the best wrestling instruction possible in an environment conducive to learning.
• To highlight the importance of nutrition and exercise in wrestling and in general health.
• To enhance the self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline in each wrestler.

Pre-register online today at www.myawrestling.com then join us for one of our two in-person registration sessions. If neither of those dates work for you, e-mail the Director so that we can make arrangements to get your child registered for the season.

Registration Dates:

• Saturday, Oct 18, 9-11 AM
• Saturday, Oct 24, 9-11 AM

The registration fee is $60 and includes a team t-shirt for each wrestler. We will have some gently used wrestling shoes and other equipment (head gear & knee pads) available at the registration table for a nominal fee. It is cheaper than buying new equipment and it helps raise funds for the program. If your child is a returning wrestler that has outgrown his/her shoes, please consider donating them to the program so that we can keep a wide selection of used equipment in inventory.
