Merrimack's Holiday Parade is Sunday

Merrimack’s Holiday Parade is Sunday at 3 PM Starting at the Commons followed by the Tree Lighting at Abbie Griffin Park

The Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department and the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to join us this Sunday, December 6th for the 22nd Annual Holiday Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting. The theme of this year’s parade is“Inside Santa’s Workshop”.

Parade Information: The Annual Holiday Parade will begin at 3:00 pm and start at The Commons Shopping Plaza (515 Daniel Webster Highway), go down Daniel Webster Highway to Baboosic Lake Road; turn left onto McElwain Street and end at the Town Hall Parking Lot. The Tree Lighting Ceremony will start immediately afterwards at Abbie Griffin Park at approximately 3:45 pm.

Tree Lighting Information:
The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at approximately 3:45 (once the Parade (and Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive at the Park). The program for the Tree Lighting Ceremony is as follows:

*Holiday Music Playing with DJ Sam - while we wait for Santa’s arrival

*Welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus as they enter the park. Santa will say a few words letting everyone know he is happy to see them. Santa will let the children know he is anxious to meet them at the end of the ceremony.

*Emcee introduces Pat Cunningham & the Merrimack High School Marching Band to perform.

*Emcee introduces Jennifer DeFelice and Broadway Bound to perform “Christmas Soul”

*Santa will count down to the Christmas Tree Lighting with the help of the Mr.s NH of America - Kristen Gazda.

*Emcee introduces Brittany Murphy & the Belinda Bridgeman Academy of Dance to perform to music from “Trans-Siberian Orchestra”

*Mrs. Claus invites the children to gather around her as she reads “The Night Before Christmas”.

*Santa and Mrs. Claus invite everyone to form a line and come to meet them. Parents are welcome to take photos.

*Emcee thanks everyone for coming and announces Parade Float Winners

Other Tree Lighting Activities (occurring simultaneously):

Girl Scout Troop 10144 will be providing free hot chocolate and cookies

Convenient MD will be handing out treats

Scot Langdon from Long Hill Photography will be taking official photos for the event.
