MHS Science Teacher Wins New England Award

Sean Muller named New England's science teacher of the year by Cubist Pharmaceuticals.

Sean Muller, a science teacher at Merrimack High School was named New England's science teacher of the year by a Massachusetts Pharmaceutical company, according to a story in the Telegraph of Nashua.

According to the story, Cubist Pharmaceutical's honored Muller with it annual Science Education Leadership Award earlier this month. He was awarded the honor thanks to some former students who nominated him for it.

β€œThe best part has to be the students, knowing that they care so much,” said Muller, who was nominated for the award by several former students. β€œIt’s a good feeling to know that you have that kind of impression on them.”

Muller, a well-loved teacher at the is the adviser to the Science Olympiad team, which has won the state title for the last three years. Earlier in the school year, he spoke with former GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman about the school's success at the competition and the Science Olympiad class he started last year.
