Molly Martel Guilty of Murder

Jury reached a verdict after less than two and a half hours of deliberation.

Molly Martel has been found guilty by a jury on two counts of second degree murder for knowingly and recklessly causing the death of her friend, Stephanie Campbell, last November.

Martel was charged with second degree murder after Campbell, a young mother of three from Manchester, bled to death following an argument with Martel outside of Campbell's Dutton Street apartment in Manchester on Nov. 2, 2010. Martel used a small folding knife during the fight in which Campbell was reportedly unarmed.

Martel stabbed Campbell four times – three times in the head and once in the chest, piercing her heart and a lung. She then fled the scene and subsequently, the state.
